ChemCentre operates as a statutory authority, established under the Chemistry Centre (WA) Act 2007 (the Act). Every five years, the effectiveness and appropriateness of the application of the powers of the Act is reviewed, to ensure continual improvement in the operation and effectiveness of ChemCentre.
This five-yearly review is being conducted by Dr Simon Carroll, who will provide a report to the Minister for Science, once the review is complete.
Part of the review includes a public consultation process, and written submissions are now being sought from individuals, organisations, and other interested parties that have significant dealings with ChemCentre and have an interest in its operations.
