ChemCentre has appointed Dr Sophie Hancock as its new Director of Scientific Services, strengthening its leadership team as it continues to provide vital scientific support and services across Western Australia.
Dr Hancock brings a diverse and accomplished background in science leadership, with expertise in developing innovative programs, translating research into real-world impact, and delivering outcomes through collaboration across sectors.
Her appointment marks a significant step in ChemCentre’s ongoing commitment to applying science in the service of the State, with a focus on evidence-based decision-making, technology deployment, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
With a passion for cross-disciplinary integration and continuous improvement, Dr Hancock is well-positioned to lead ChemCentre’s Scientific Services Division into its next phase. Her interests in policy-research partnerships, innovation ecosystems, and service delivery will help shape ChemCentre’s future as a trusted science provider.
