At ChemCentre we kick off the festive season by celebrating the outstanding contribution and dedication of our staff, with the presentation of the annual Ian Ritchie Awards.
Congratulations this year go to Bethany Morey, winner of the Ritchie Early Career Award and Robert Dunsmore, winner of the Ian Ritchie Achievement Award.
Robert has established a reputation as a leading expert in forensic arson and explosives analysis in Western Australia and is highly regarded at a national level. He has demonstrated excellence in his role, not only in terms of technical expertise, but also in terms of professionalism, integrity and reliability. These are qualities highly valued by ChemCentre’s key strategic partners and law enforcement agencies and Robert has received numerous commendations from various sections of the WA Police and Australian Border Force. Robert is an exemplary ambassador for ChemCentre.
In the early stages of her career at ChemCentre, Bethany is regarded as an outstanding team member in the Illicit Drugs Team in the Forensic Science Laboratory. Bethany has a thirst for knowledge and a ‘can do’ attitude, who consistently acts with professionalism and integrity, and has recently been appointed Lead Clan Lab Chemist.
Established in 2010, the Awards honour the late Professor Ian Ritchie: a distinguished scientist, educator, mentor and administrator, tireless champion of chemistry and its role in the community, and long-time supporter of ChemCentre.
The awards celebrate the excellence, passion and dedication of our ChemCentre staff and recognise those who embrace ChemCentre’s core values of technical excellence, innovation, integrity and respect.
