Outreach

At ChemCentre, we are passionate about chemistry and inspiring curiosity about the world around us.

At ChemCentre, we are passionate about chemistry and inspiring curiosity about the world around us.

Our Education and Outreach Program aims to foster a greater appreciation and understanding of chemistry across the community by providing a range of engagement opportunities for schools, universities, community groups and the wider public.

Throughout the year, we host a limited number of laboratory tours for ATAR Year 11 and 12 students at our Bentley facilities, offering students a unique insight into the role science plays in supporting Western Australia.

Our scientists also participate in incursions at school and community events, sharing their expertise and enthusiasm for chemistry with diverse audiences.

Through sponsorships, partnerships and collaborative initiatives, ChemCentre regularly contributes to university and industry career nights, Innovators’ Tea Party events, conferences and public expos, helping to promote science education and career pathways in STEM.

Please note that we have now reached capacity for school excursion visits in 2026.

If you are interested in arranging a ChemCentre incursion at your school or organisation, we encourage you to submit a request through our outreach application process. As ChemCentre is a working laboratory with operational commitments, all requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

We appreciate your interest and look forward to sharing the wonder and impact of chemistry with you.
